2024 Theme: The Life Source Garden
The Life Source Garden calls for a representation and exploration of the key features of life, emphasizing a complete consideration of the natural systems that work together to create life forms. "Meal Ready to Eat" emerges as a view into the the most basic form of life source for humans: food. Immersed in an experience that extends beyond the walkable pathway, visitors have the opportunity to pick vegetables and other edible plants for themselves and others. Displaying as equally important life sources, the selected plants provide habitats for pollinators to sustain the system within itself. Abstract metal sculptures and the area of rising life in the second area of the site expand to the essential life source of entertainment and civic life.
